The last semester of law school!
So this semester is going quite well.
Last semester (fall 2004) was tough, almost as bad as last year. I took 18 units, and had a paper to write, and I was sitting in on some extra classes because I probably wouldn't have a chance to take them again.
This semester, I'm taking 11 units:
Public Health Law
Topical Issues in Health Law
Intellectual Property in Historical Context
Professional Responsibility (ethical duties of a lawyer)
Independent Study (working with a professor about crime and Asian Americans)
The first 3 classes all require papers, which I've been procrastinating somewhat on so far. But one requires a group paper (I'm in a group of 4 people), and for another, I'm using some of the research from the paper I wrote last semester.
The other really nice thing about this semester is that I don't have classes on Fridays, and the classes I'm enrolled in are on Mondays and Wednesdays. I'm sitting in on Immigration Law, which is Tues/Wed/Thurs, but I'm skipping a number of those Tuesdays, and some of those Thursdays, too. Also, on most days my first class is at 1 or 2 pm, which lets me sleep in.
So my schedule is pretty good. And with no classes on Fridays, I've gone snowboarding twice at a place that charges students $10 for lift tickets on Fridays (a friend pointed out that this probably promotes students to cut their Fri classes).
But I do need to get on the ball with those papers. And with the job search.
Quick side note: I've been thinking more about relationships lately. In the last 2 weeks, I've been asked 3 times why I've never had a girlfriend (or even a second date). Hmm.
